Atlas Travel, a global travel management platform, is looking to hire a corporate travel consultant. In this remote, part-time position, you can make a living with your organizational skills and diligence.

The rise of Atlas Travel may be compared to a plane taking off from a runway and ascending into the skies. 

The roots of this company can be traced back to a Milford, Massachusetts office that Elaine Osgood opened after she bought a Uniglobe Travel franchise. It certainly didn’t take her long to realize how popular corporate travel was, so she did what she could to capitalize on this popularity. Though her agency catered to vacationers as well, Osgood knew that business travel would be her bread and butter.

What can you expect from this job?

To qualify as a corporate travel consultant for Atlas Travel, you need to have the following:

• At least four years of experience as a working agent in a travel agency
• Proficiency in using global distribution systems (GDS)
• Extensive knowledge of ticketing guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong skills and resources related to geography
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Though this is a remote position, you need to be ready to travel by car, plane, and train for business purposes.

Here are some of the responsibilities you’ll have as a corporate travel consultant:

• Handle the processing for various modes of travel (including air, car, limo, and rail).
• Promote the travel services of vendors preferred by the company.
• Adhere to the travel policies for each client’s individual account.
• Keep the client supplied with details such as tariffs and penalties.

Each month, you are expected to meet the benchmark of 250 transactions. 

The estimated monthly salary for this position is $2,666 to $3,583. Benefits offered by the company include medical, dental, and vision plans; 401(k); paid holidays; and personal time.
