There are plenty of ways to make an impact in the healthcare field. You can manufacture drugs, perform life-saving operations, tend to bedridden patients, or…you know, enter data into a system.
Who says clerical tasks can’t save lives as well? In order for medical personnel and pharmacists to do their jobs properly, they need precise information. Only when armed with accurate details can they determine the correct intervention or procedure for each patient.
Got experience in this type of data entry work? If you do, you have a shot at landing this remote job that we found.
DeliverHealth, a healthcare solutions company, is looking for an eFiler/chart abstractor to enter patient information into an electronic database. This clerical work enables you to earn a living and do good things for the healthcare industry.
More on DeliverHealth
DeliverHealth was launched in November 2020—in other words, right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, which drastically altered our lives.
While COVID-related issues certainly generated huge demand for the software and service solutions offered by DeliverHealth, the pandemic was far from the only healthcare issue the company dealt with.
Operational efficiency may not sound as serious as COVID, but when you stop to think about it, this is a concern all healthcare providers share. Poorly handled systems lead to stressful moments for doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and everyone else who needs to access information immediately.
To make life easier for medical workers, DeliverHealth provides an array of services, including:
- Solutions that vastly improve documentation (such as transcription, scribing, and front-end speech technology)
- Sophisticated software that neatly organizes data
- Digital systems that enhance the customer experience
- Secure electronic health records (EHRs)
To date, DeliverHealth has earned the trust of more than 2,000 companies. These include Kaiser Permanente, the London Health Sciences Centre, and the American College of Physicians. The company is looking forward to tremendous growth in the future, and if you play your cards right, you can become an integral part of that growth.
What can you expect from this job?

To qualify as an eFiler/chart abstractor, you need to have the following:
- A high school diploma or GED
- A computer and a strong internet connection
- A home-based workspace that complies with HIPAA standards
- At least 2 years of experience as a chart abstractor
- Solid computer skills (especially when it comes to data entry)

How about compensation? The chart abstractor will get paid by the number of chart abstractions they complete (as opposed to the traditional hourly model). In other words, the pay here is output-based.
