Healthcare providers help people 24/7, so it’s worth asking who helps the healthcare providers.
As sophisticated as healthcare companies have become, they are fully aware that additional support is always welcome. If a healthcare provider has the means to outsource customer payment processing, that healthcare provider will do what it can to find skilled people for the job.
Would you like to help these helpful healthcare folks? If so, there’s a remote job that lets you do just that!

More on GeBBS Healthcare Solutions
Plenty of help was exactly what Nitin Thakor needed to get this company off the ground. Though the Mumbai native would certainly have preferred some momentum in the early 2000s, he had to deal with career setbacks at the time.
In a nutshell, the would-be investment banker turned down a job at Goldman Sachs Group in favor of saving his family’s Mumbai-based computer manufacturing venture. Sadly, that business failed, and Thakor had to find something else to sink his teeth into.
With the help of his father, he found a business niche. “We picked the healthcare market to focus on,” he said in a 2020 interview for the Los Angeles Business Journal. “At that time, 15 to 20 years ago, healthcare back-office functions were very fragmented, with a lot of regional companies and many mom-and-pop businesses.”
Hoping to bring sophistication to this niche, Thakor and his father established GeBBS in 2005. As chief executive of his new company, Thakor placed particular emphasis on billing and payment solutions, which was (and always will be) a pressing matter for those “mom-and-pop businesses” he was referring to.
In its first six years, GeBBS provided valuable support to a number of small medical institutions. Then, in 2011, the company started partnering with major providers in places like California and Oklahoma. By the end of the decade, it was reporting steady revenue growth—from a haul of $49.3 million in 2017 to $99.3 million in 2019.
In 2021, GeBBS made the Top 10 List of Largest Revenue-Cycle Management Companies (a list curated by business publication Modern Healthcare). Clearly, this company is on the rise, and its momentum would be hard to resist for job applicants out there.
