What does the job entail?

An entry-level accounting associate is mainly in charge of clerical tasks. Some of your daily responsibilities will include managing Axios’ payment processing system, setting up new vendors in the payment system, uploading invoices and vendor contracts, and resolving payment issues. 

Communicating and maintaining relationships with the vendors is also part of the job description, as is handling the accounts payable process and assisting with the preparation of annual 1099 forms.

Requirements

To maximize your chances of landing this job, you should meet the following criteria: 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• At least a year of accounts payable experience
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred)
• Attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with payment processing systems like Bill.com and Sage Intacct (preferred)
