What can you expect from this job?

To be clear, this is a temporary position of one-month duration. If you perform excellently, your contract may be extended.

In order to qualify for this remote job, you need:

• A high school diploma or GED
• At least two years of recent chart abstraction experience 
• Strong computer skills, particularly in terms of data entry

In addition, you will have to pass a background check. With regard to equipment, you need a strong internet connection and a personal workplace that is compliant with the standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Here are some of the responsibilities you’ll be assigned in this role:

• Perform chart abstractions with unerring accuracy.
• Facilitate the transfer of client records from the client’s existing EHR system to the new EHR system.
• Meet the weekly goals for productivity.
• Document productivity statistics on a daily basis.
• Stay up to date on specific abstraction procedures.

Your pay rate will be determined by the number of chart abstractions you can accomplish.
