Work Remotely as an Editor at This Animal Rights Foundation

In all likelihood, you’ve heard of these animal lovers.

When you’re fighting for a cause, it’s always good to know that someone’s got your back.

Now more than ever, it’s tough to remain faithful to your principles in the face of adversity. (By adversity, we mean all the vultures doing the rounds on social media, waiting to verbally tear you to shreds the minute you slip up.) However, when you’re assured of backup—a loyal companion or two you can count on—coping with the pressure does become a bit easier.

Take PETA, for example. Not everyone agrees with the moral, cultural, and even financial makeup of this animal rights organization. For decades, though, PETA has taken on wildlife traffickers and big businesses alike, and it’s got a pretty nice track record to show for it.

It couldn’t have gotten to this point without the help of a certain foundation. If your values align with those of PETA, this foundation could give you the opportunity to jump into the fight for animal welfare.

You see, the Foundation to Support Animal Protection (also known as the PETA Foundation) is looking for a full-time editor to bolster its ranks. In this remote job, you can employ your language skills and content knowledge to help the PETA Foundation—and PETA itself—do its thing.

More on the PETA Foundation

Before we proceed, let’s make it clear: PETA and the PETA Foundation are not the same entity.

The organization we know as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) was established in 1980. Over the years, PETA has amassed more than nine million members who defend animal rights in fields like education, legislation, and research. Of course, a significant chunk of PETA’s activities is devoted to investigating cases of animal abuse and conducting rescue operations.

As you can imagine, an organization of PETA’s magnitude has plenty of logistical needs on a daily basis. While its team members would probably be thrilled to mount a rescue mission every day of the week, they first need to ensure that the organization’s day-to-day operations run smoothly.

That’s where the PETA Foundation comes in. Established in 1993, it provides a host of essential services to PETA as well as other animal protection organizations. What services are these, you ask? Everything from accounting and legal to database management and creative consultation.

In other words, the PETA Foundation helps PETA get things done. Therefore, if you offer your services to the former, you will be helping the latter accomplish its missions.
